Watch Your Words – How What You Say Makes A Difference To Your Mindset

Watch Your Words – How What You Say Makes A Difference To Your Mindset

Have you ever thought about how the way you say things could be affecting you?… No?… Me either, or at least I hadn’t until I listened to Russell Brand on the Happy Place podcast where he said something that really stuck with me.

5 Podcasts That Got Me Through 2020 & 2021

It’s no secret that lockdown (for the most part) gave us more time and therefore the opportunity to try new things, and listening to podcasts was one of those things for me. They really gave me a lot of relief during times when we lacked freedom, but not only that, as they gave me some level of routine too. But what were my go-to podcasts, you say? Well… Let me share them with you now, and maybe you’ll learn of your new favourite.

Mental Health Awareness Week: My Story

Mental Health Awareness Week: My Story

Hello! It’s been over a month since I last posted, but I’m back, ready to continue to try and help with breaking the stigma of mental health, conveniently lined up with Mental Health Awareness Week. I figured that to kick off the week I’d share with you what my experiences with mental health struggles have been like and why I’m now an advocate for it. So, I’ll try and keep it short, but here’s a revisit to my struggles with anxiety, depression, grief and burnout.

Grief & Me: Part 1

Grief & Me: Part 1

I’m sitting here writing this blog post after having felt a sudden wave of emotion this morning. A wave that hit me like a ton of bricks, completely unexpectedly. Today marks my Mum‘s birthday. She would have been 62 today, and it’s been 12 and a half years since she passed away, so you’d think it’d be a lot easier now. Well, some things get easier as time goes on, but of course there’s also a lot that never really leaves you.

Back To Life, Back To Reality: Thoughts on Life After the Pandemic

Back To Life, Back To Reality: Thoughts on Life After the Pandemic

It’s funny isn’t it… We’ve now spent roughly a year of what has been suggested as to be something other than “normal life” because it’s not the life we once lived prior to the pandemic. The life where we had all the freedom and joys of going where we wanted, spending time with the people we love, and hugging people freely. What we’ve lived for the past year being named as the “new normal” but not one that we want to stick around. Or do we?

CBD & Me

CBD & Me

If you’re new to my blog, and CBD, you may be interested in my earlier post on CBD and what it’s about. If you’ve been following me for a while then you may recall this post already, when I was new to it, back in October, having not yet tried CBD at that point. Well, after trying a few different products over the past 5 months I wanted to give an update of sorts as to how I’ve been finding it.

20 Things I Learnt in 2020

20 Things I Learnt in 2020

Now I know, I know, this is kinda late. The new year started 20 days… However, I still want to reflect back on 2020 and the things that I learnt throughout the year. Some I already knew but found deeper connection with, and some are little revelations from pandemic life.

Reflecting on the Past Year

I apologise in advance that this could be a lengthy post. I’ll try not to go on too long, but really, there is so much to say about this year, despite the fact that for a lot of it we haven’t been able to do an awful lot. Yes, 2020 has given us a pandemic, and it’s been really shit in parts. A lot of people have unfortunately lost their lives all over the world from Covid-19, on top of all the other health problems that strike. It’s been a year of global uncertainty in more ways than one. It’s been one HELL of a rollercoaster, and continues to be right up until the end and into 2021. However, it’s also been a lot more than just the negatives.

Music & Mental Health Pt 1

Music & Mental Health Pt 1

I write this post feeling now more than ever, how positive music (and the Arts as a whole) can be on our mental health. Firstly, I want to say sorry to all those people within the arts out there who have been working hard to pursue their passions and dreams, who have had to see ads like the ‘Rethink, Reskill, Reboot’ campaign, suggesting that a job in cyber for example is more worthwhile than what they do or want to achieve. As a creative myself, I feel your pain. The Arts have such a benefit to those who are part of them and those who are on the receiving end of them.

CBD – What’s The Deal?

CBD – What’s The Deal?

You may have seen my previous posts (on Instagram) based around my intrigue into how CBD can positively affect mental and physical health. You may have also read the post stating that I wanted to do my own little experiment. Well… This will be explaining it a little more, but first it’d probably be beneficial to give a little information on what CBD is, where it comes from, and what research has found it to be useful for, in case you don’t already know.
